Room 1's cultural prints

Room 1 was inspired by tapa and tivaevae designs. We had a go at drawing our own tapa or tivaevae design. Then we created a monoprint and then a printing block. We used sticky printing ink to create three different coloured backgrounds. After that we printed our tapa or tivaevae print using black ink. Have a look at our printing blocks and our finished prints.

  2. Amazing Room 1; I loved the final results after all the different processes. Wish I had got you all to print a 4th copy for my walls at home. I also really like looking at the actual art when it was on display, now in the classroom, and here is a different display of the same thing. Great use of technology. Well done.
